DARK MOODY AND BEAUTIFUL
James makes another Dark Moody Beautiful video for the well known violinist Daj Jordan, featuring dance moves and choreography by Han Chiang of Pineapple studios.
This is the 3rd official music video James has created for Daj Jordan, and this one is for Daj’s debut original music release called “Body Language.”
For those of you who haven’t heard of Daj Jordan, Daj is a London based Violinist who built a large following by creating cover versions of songs using his violin. Daj has had his videos shared by some of the biggest names in American R&B and Rap music and constantly has people requesting more and more.
This time Daj was ready to release an orginal song, completely written and produced by himself. Daj came to me with an idea for a dance based violin video and sourced the location and dancer. I listened to the song and built up a visual vibe and the filming ran very smooth.
We had the stunning dancer Han Chiang who had choreographed some pieces to the song and also improvised other parts, it was all based around the moody, dark undertones of the song and being possessed by the violin notes.
I decided to keep the Cinematography pretty simple and composed with a bit of handheld work, to really keep the video focused on all the art we had from Daj, Han and the lighting and smoke and not make it about memorable camera movement.
The video came out exactly how Daj envisioned, and it was a great creative shoot.
